..now we’ve got a PANTONE HOTEL! I can already hear Megan‘s oohs-and-aahs, think she’d be perfectly content in a Pantone 137 C room.

The hotel is located in Brussels, Belgium. Designed by Belgian interior designer Michel Penneman and Belgian architect Olivier Hannaert, each of the hotel’s seven floors are in different colour palletes.

tales of passion

Recently I watched a fantastic TED talk by Chilean Novelist, Isabel Allende, who writes stories of passion. And I thought it would be lovely to share the video as my post for today. If you can find a spare 17 minutes – then I would highly recommend watching it. Her novels and memoirs, including The House of the Spirits and Eva Luna, tell the stories of women and men who live with passionate commitment — to love, to their world, to an ideal. Very Inspiring indeed.

colouring our world…

This post by Casper Johansson on Lost At E Minor caught my eye this morning, highlighting the amazing Favela Painting project by Haas and Hahn.

Haas and Hahn (below) is the working title of artistic duo Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn. They started working together in 2005, when they filmed a documentary about hip hop in the favelas of Rio and São Paolo for MTV. Inspired by this visit, they embarked on a journey to bring outrageous works of art to unexpected places, starting with painting enormous murals in the slums of Brazil together with the local youth.

The results are stunning and very inspirational…

Above is an illustration of what they hope “O Morro” will look like if they can raise enough funds to finish the project.

Fan them on Facebook to follow along on their progress in Santa Marta.
