AGideas!

Last week, I was fortunate enough to attend three glorious days of creative inspiration and conversation at the 2010 (20th Anniversary) AGideas Design Conference.

As always, a fabulous array of renowned local and international guest speakers shared with us their insights, practices, and musings on life and design.
Whilst all speakers were fascinating in their own unique way, I particularly enjoyed the talks of Dean Poole (Alt Group), Michael Mabry (Graphic Design), Theo Jansen (Kinetic Scupltor), Dan Formosa (Smart Design), and Agnete Enga of Femme Den (Smart Design).

The greatest thing about attending a conference such as this is the opportunity to learn more about other creative fields within our industry. And I feel that this year there was a recurring motif in the idea of collaboration and the benefits of this to our work and our creative relationships with others.

Thanks to Agideas team and Student Council, who I know work tirelessly to provide such a fabulous event for us! And major thanks to the studio for letting me disappear for three days! What a blast!
